You always knew your Cobalt could
do so much more. Sure, the stock supercharger setup is
fun, but it's just not very effective for anything over 250 WHP.
You've heard the horror stories of blown engines and terrifying
inlet air temperatures on supercharged Cobalts that have been turned up, and
it's kept you from getting busy with yours. But all along
you knew there had to be a better way. Why, those Evo and
SRT and Subaru guys get away with it...300, 350, 400 WHP...and
on stock engines too!
Of course, the big difference is
this...those other cars are Turbocharged.
Enter Hahn RaceCraft. Noted
for 20 years of turbocharging excellence, and boasting
considerable experience with turbocharged Ecotecs since 2002,
Hahn has now designed a TurboSystem for your 2.0 that sheds the
shackles of the stock supercharger and lets your LSJ Ecotec
finally run with the big dogs!
Available in separate Component
Groups, or five levels of completion, this new TurboSystem picks
up where the factory supercharger leaves off. Capable of
as much as 600 HP with optional GT35R turbo and PortFueler, this
system gives you the tools to finally take charge. It's a
completely engineered and exhaustively tested set of components,
designed and tuned with great care by our very own Bill Hahn Jr.
The stock supercharger system was
never intended for much more than 250 HP. Trying to make
it do anything more will result in outrageous inlet air
temperatures of 250 degrees or more with 2.6" pulleys that not
only don't make healthy power, they force the supercharger come
on even harder, which just aggravates tirespin in lower gears.
With the Hahn TurboSystem, inlet air temps are typically less
than 100 degrees, and the smooth power delivery makes the car
MUCH easier to manage in lower gears...plus, you can multi-stage
the boost (optional) for even more control!
Enjoy the following advantages
with Hahn:
-
More power than any
supercharger, including expensive upgrades, can ever make
-
No more belt drive hassles
-
Greatly reduced inlet air
temperatures
-
Outstanding engine durability
as compared to stock supercharger
-
The ability to change boost
and power levels with the flick of a switch from the
driver's seat (with Boost Controller option)
-
Increased fuel mileage
-
Reduced torque steer from a
more controllable, less violent power curve
-
Reduced wheel spin in lower
gears
-
Ability to upgrade easily to
higher power levels
-
Recoup a portion of your cost
by selling your entire supercharger system
That's right...the Hahn
TurboSystem features our innovative StreetRace Intake Manifold.
This piece of aluminum artwork enables you to remove the entire
supercharger, intake manifold, belt drive, even the intercooler
core, pump and hoses...and sell them to another Ecotec
enthusiast to help defray your system cost. But that's not
the only advantage...advanced high-power testing has proved that
the StreetRace manifold significantly improves high-RPM
horsepower, while also eliminating the uneven airflow that the
restrictive, cramped stock manifold is notorious for. As
if all that wasn't enough, the StreetRace manifold also adds a
very trick touch to your underhood appearance!
This system features nothing but
the best, from the standard StreetRace Manifold to the very
proven S20G turbo, 3" band clamp downpipe system, big charge
air tubing and humongous intercooler...all premium
components designed to optimize a premium engine. And with
the optional PortFueler, you can increase the output from the
standard 360 WHP to over 400 WHP, for true 11 second 1/4 mile potential!*
Hahn RaceCraft has been studying
and refining Ecotec performance for years, and a considerable
amount of Cobalt-specific development has now resulted in the
finest TurboSystem available for 2.0 Cobalt. If you've
been thinking about 'going turbo', you could not pick a better
partner. Let us show you how to unlock the true potential
in your LSJ Cobalt!
* Higher than 93 octane fuel
required for outputs above 360 WHP

In this dyno graph, we see a 3rd gear pull at
15 PSI boost, with 93 octane pump gas. The torque curve is
nothing short of amazing...astoundingly flat and strong all the
way through! The HP curve passes the torque curve at a
very rewarding 5900 RPM on its way to a 320 WHP peak (that's
about 376 engine HP!). Very effective performance for the
LSJ 2.0 Ecotec, and at moderate boost pressure.

Now things are getting interesting! With
a Boost Controller, we increase the boost to 22 PSI on 93
octane, and the WHP increases to 360, with a large jump in
torque as well. This is serious power, enough to take a
Cobalt into the low 12 second zone at nearly 120 MPH in the 1/4
mile! With almost 425 engine HP on tap, the LSJ engine can
finally see its true potential, no longer limited by the stock
supercharger system.
