Cobalt SS/TC CoolRam Intake: Available NOW!

 


CoolRam is the intake system that's dyno proven for gains up to 29 horsepower.  Extensively tested on street and track, it offers outstanding upper RPM power while improving turbo response and midrange punch.  Its wide-open design provides a rowdy blow-off valve sound too!  Mandrel-bent at Hahn RaceCraft from high-nickel steel premium tube, CoolRam will not chafe or wear like lower-quality soft aluminum intake tubes.  As a bonus, CoolRam's more durable steel design runs cooler, transferring less engine compartment heat to incoming air than aluminum.

Like all Hahn RaceCraft upgrades for Cobalt TC, CoolRam is part of our Cobalt TC performance development program, ensuring that results will be consistent and effective when combined with our other products.  CoolRam is compatible with stock and upgraded turbos; its modular design allows easy adaptation to any turbo configuration.  We even include a "how-to" that shows how to modify your fenderwell for even more cool air flow.

The CoolRam System is also designed  to accommodate our upcoming Billet Blow-off Valve Upgrade.

DYNO RESULTS

In the test above, we installed CoolRam with our PPC Tuner and CatBack Exhaust. 

The CoolRam gained almost 17 WHP at 5900 RPM...that's an additional 20 engine HP!  You can see where the stock intake really begins to suffer above 5000 RPM.  CoolRam also provided significant power gain across the entire RPM range. 


Now. things are getting really interesting! 

Here, we push the stock intake even harder by adding our MaxFlow Downpipe, HP Intercooler and Charge Air Piping, The stock intake just gives up above 5000 RPM.  At 5600, we see a WHP gain of over 25...almost 30 more engine HP!  Cars that have been tuned and modified like this one can really benefit from CoolRam...but it's a great addition to an otherwise stock Cobalt TC too.
